Layne Peters
Layne grew up in Eastern Washington where he began his passion for the outdoors. During college he gained his first experience in rock climbing and mountaineering. Later, he worked for his university's Outdoor Rec Department as a guide, where he fell in love with the outdoors as well as guiding. He has traveled around the US and abroad, visiting 16 countries, where he has gotten to climb and ski. Layne has a home base in Montana where he lives outside of the guide season. During his off-days, you can find him multi-pitch rock climbing, backcountry skiing, mountain biking, and playing any competitive sport with friends. Layne has a deep passion for helping people experience the outdoors and build resilience through challenging experiences, stemming from his background with youth outdoor adventure programs, his own personal life story, as well as his work as a guide for various companies, including RMI.
