Charlie Harrison
Charlie grew up in the sprawling metropolis of Etna, New Hampshire, competing as an alpine ski racer for 16 years before shifting over to backcountry sports. After finishing a degree in philosophy at Williams College, he moved West in search of bigger terrain and wilder mountains. Bozeman, Montana is his home base, where he spends an inordinate amount of time exploring the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem in the vertical plane. He most recently spent the winter avalanche forecasting and ski guiding in the Northern Sangre de Cristo Mountains of New Mexico. Charlie is committed to sharing mountain environments with his fellow enthusiasts, and loves helping other climbers improve their skills and meet their goals. He loves all types of climbing but prioritizes ski mountaineering because gliding on two planks is simply written into his DNA. When he isn’t guiding, you can find Charlie working on mountain bikes, cooking brunch, obsessing over metal sub-genres, or free-hanging on his ice tools.
